We decided to look at a field that has been heavily nighthawked, but lots of cut halves and quarters remain.
This field had been used as a market in Medieval times, hence the pottery and small coinage being there.
The last outing saw three coins of Henry I. This time around, it was the turn of Henry III. A Roman coin also came up.
What was interesting was the finding of a piece of fossilised coral and then a Devil's Toenail.
Again, this field was used to host a market and was also heavily nighthawked.
The field conditions were a little challenging, so we decided to have a look at another field that was in stubble. This was a lot easier on the foot, but it had lots of green waste upon it.
